Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run of South Central Wisconsin

Girls on the Run is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. Meeting twice a week in small teams, trained coaches lead 3rd-5th grade girls through our research-based curriculum which includes dynamic discussions and fun activities that celebrate the joy of movement. Over the course of the ten-week program, girls develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event.

Girls on the Run offers a sliding-scale fee structure based on annual family income. The full registration fee is $160. Registration fees cover the cost of delivering a high quality experience to all girls, including: participant t-shirt, water bottle, 5K entry, 5K medal and other completion gifts, certified GOTR curriculum, program supplies for hands-on lesson delivery, twenty 90 minute sessions led by a minimum of 2 certified coaches (trained and background checked).
Girls on the Run fosters an inclusive environment and offers the opportunity for all girls to participate, regardless of financial circumstances. We offer a sliding-scale fee structure based on annual family income. Registration allows you to self-select and pay the rate that corresponds with your annual family income. The full registration fee is $160. Annual Family Income and Sliding Scale Fee for 10-Week Program: Over $60,000 = $160; $40,001 - $60,000 = $120; $20,001 - $40,000 = $80; under $20,000 = $40. Additional financial assistance is available to families who cannot pay the sliding scale registration fee. Email or call 608-831-4687 for more information regarding financial assistance.
Girls on the Run hosts two seasons each year, spring and fall season. Each season runs 10 weeks and ends with a celebratory 5K event. Spring season registration opens in early February (program starts week of March 18th). Fall season registration opens August 1st (program starts the week of Sept 9th).
