TEENworks: Teen Education and Employment Network
TEENworks participants learn critical employment skills while learning in a supportive, hands-on environment. High school students receive paid work training in culinary arts. Students complete 20 hours of work readiness training including back of the house(food prep, cooking, dish washing) and front of the house (presentation, customer service, point of sale) as well as general employability skills in resume writing, mock interviews and positive employee relations. At the end of the training youth work in the Goodman Community Center kitchen and the Working Class Catering events primarily evenings and weekends. Students also work with mentors to find job placement in Madison area businesses.
Interested students need to complete and employment application, come to an interview, and complete employment paperwork (including birth certificate and social security card).
  
TEENworks also operates the Goodman Community Center's Seed to Table internship program partnering with MMSD for youth to earn school credit
