Youth Entrepreneur Camp at UW-Madison SBDC

Program Description

The UW-Madison SBDC Youth Entrepreneurship Camp is a commuter day camp for middle-school aged kids held at Grainger Hall (975 University Avenue) from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, June 17-21, 2019. The camp incorporates a variety of interactive activities, classroom learning, hands-on computer use, simulations, an apprentice style lemonade stand competition and field trips to local businesses. The Youth Entrepreneurship Camp is a hands-on learning experience designed to guide program participants in becoming the owner of a real small business.

Participants will learn real world business skills: team building, leadership development, financial management, verbal communication, and business etiquette through interactive lessons and exercises. Participants also learn how to successfully negotiate for business materials, set goals, and recognize real business opportunities.
