Teen Kayak Series

Perfect for the teenager looking to get into kayaking and spend some time hanging out on the lake. Learn the basics of kayaking in an exciting three half-day series. Our instructors will work with you on basic strokes, rescues and wet exits. We'll expand on skills through games and trips out of the pond!

Partial scholarships are available for those in need. Contact Amelia for an application.

Programs meet on the back lawn of Rutabaga Paddlesports.
Courses open to those who can perform the following: -Maintain a safe body position while attempting skills and activities appropriate to the course. -Hold breath while under water and, while in the water wearing a properly fitted life jacket, be able to independently turn from a face down to a face up position keeping head above water. -Effectively communicate with instructor and other course participants. -Manage all mobility and personal care independently or with reasonable assistance.
