Program Name

Manga Drawing Camp

Organization
Program Description

Join SugoiArts for a week of manga drawing and exploration! Each MANGA SUMMER CAMP day begins with 1.5 hours of studio time and drawing instruction. We will introduce students to drawing a manga style character, including character design, proportion, faces and expression, pose, and clothing. For more advanced artists, we will cover individual topics based on the student's needs. We will use the professional tools of real manga-ka – COPIC markers, pens, and high-grade paper.

After studio time, students will have the option to continue drawing in the studio, or join in as we watch anime, read manga, and discuss styles and their relationship to plot and theme.
