Edgewood Summer Scholars

Provided by
Edgewood Office of Science Outreach

Edgewood College’s commitment to community engagement and work toward the common good, has led us to develop Edgewood Summer Scholars. This program, designed for students entering sixth grade in the fall of 2019, is meant to give them experiences that build their readiness for academic success. Participants will spend one week on the Edgewood College Campus ( 8:00am-4:00pm daily) exploring science, the arts and humanities with college faculty.  They will also practice the college-readiness skills of inquiry, organization, collaboration, time management, creative thinking and problem solving.  As children make the transition from elementary to middle school it is important that they continue to develop their identity as scholars and Edgewood Summer Scholars is designed to do just that.

Full and partial scholarships are available. Contact Sarah Stoehr for more information and application procedures. (608)663-4150
