Program Name

Children's Self and Social Identity Groups

Program Description

Dance/movement therapy groups for children use fun movement and creative arts experiences to support children to learn more about themselves and their feelings while having positive connections with peers. Groups are formed based on children's shared needs, ages and schedules.  These groups are particularly helpful to meet the needs of children on the autism spectrum, with other developmental issues, cognitive delays, physical challenges, or ADHD.

Groups for children with developmental issues will use dance, rhythm, and creative movement play to develop self-awareness, support peer relationships, and to develop motor skills.

Groups meet weekly, usually on-going through the year, except on holidays, and are scheduled for the day and time that works for client(s) and therapist availability. Most groups comprise 2 to 5 children.

$40/hour; limited sliding fee scale available, based on first-come first-serve and financial need.
