Madison Judo, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to promoting the sport of judo as a way to enhance the well-being of its members.
Madison Judo's coaches are certified with USA Judo* and volunteer their time. Both our head coach and technical advisor are former international competitors with many years of competition and coaching experience. This enables Madison Judo to provide judo coaching to players of all levels and ages for fees that reflect the organization’s low overhead costs. Madison Judo aims to provide the highest level of judo training to all its members in a safe and fun environment. The club offers serious competitors and recreational players of all ages the opportunity to improve their judo skills. Madison Judo makes learning and practising judo accessible to all and offers scholarships to qualified individuals. Madison Judo is affiliated to USA Judo. We welcome new members of all ages from around 7 years of age upwards.
If you would like to try a class for free, you are very welcome to come to any of our Tuesday and Thursday classes 10 minutes before the start of class and introduce yourself to one of the coaches. We will find you a loaner judogi and introduce you to the sport of judo.
Our classes are held at the Neighborhood House, 29 S Mills St, Madison.
Tues & Thurs: Kids (7+) 5:30-7:00pm; Adults (& advanced teens) 7:00-9:00pm
Sun: Adults (& advanced teens) 4:30-6:00pm
Madison Judo is one of the largest judo clubs in Wisconsin and the premier judo club in the Madison area.
