Forward Learning Youth & Young Adults (FLYY)

FLYY’s three distinct programs:

1.) FLYY’s Flight program serves youth and young adults (ages 7 – 35), and families from in and around Dane County. We specialize in working with youth, young adults, and families who are struggling and who may not respond well to traditional services. Our Flight staff and licensed therapists work with young people in six distinct ways: providing Individual and Family therapy, Individual Skill Development, Psychoeducation and Wellness Management, Parent Psychoeducation, and Service Facilitation services. All services are designed to help strengthen the client’s family and support system. To make a referral or if you have general questions regarding this program, call FLYY’s Clinical Director, Jordan Rozeske at 608-512-6109 or email her at jordan@flyy.org.

2.) FLYY offers four unique Peacemaking through Dialogue services – Peacemaking Circles, Crisis Intervention Training, Conflict Mediation, and Leadership Training. These services lift barriers between people and create an environment for increased understanding and trust, deep listening, community-building, and strengthening relationships across lines of hurt, conflict, division, power dynamics, and varying perspectives. All four services allow participants to talk about what matters to them and to humanize their differences. For information, call Jessie Kushner at 608-347-1432 or email her at jessie@flyy.org.

3.) After years of running its own nationally distinctive wilderness program, FLYY offers Wilderness Program Development — expertise in the form of specialized trainings, mentorship, and written materials to help Native American tribes and/or organizations build dynamic wilderness programming. For information, call Tarek Said at 608-239-5414 or email him at tarek@flyy.org.
