DISCOVERING THE TALENT NEXT DOOR

For Overture’s 10th Anniversary, we premiered Overture’s Rising Stars, a local talent search aimed at highlighting and celebrating amazing members of our local communities. The program was wildly popular in its first year — more than 200 acts auditioned at six sites across Dane County.
The program is now in its third year, and we have partnered with local organizations for three days of preliminary auditions. The first round of auditions will be held at Overture, Full Compass, and the Westside Community Services Building. Auditions will be open to all in South Central Wisconsin. Everyone, whether 6 or 60, amateur or pro, dancer or poet, singer or magician, is invited to audition for a chance to be named one of this season’s Rising Stars. Cash prizes are awarded in each category, and a grand prize winner will be selected to present on Overture’s 2017/18 season.
Online registration opens June 1st, so be sure to check back!
