Located in south-central Wisconsin, Dane County Parks offers outdoor recreational opportunities and natural spaces for recreation, learning, community activities, and special events. As a division of the Dane County Land & Water Resources Department, Dane County Parks is committed to preserving and stewarding the county’s natural resources while creating meaningful public experiences. T

Dane County Parks provides out-of-school-time youth programming focused on conservation, outdoor learning, environmental stewardship, and career exploration. Through Youth Volunteers for Conservation (YV4C) and related initiatives, youth gain hands-on experience in stewardship projects, leadership development, community engagement, and exposure to conservation and natural resources career pathways. These programs help young people in Dane County build skills, contribute to their communities, and connect with local environmental work.
